What strikes me most about the concept of 'urban resurgence' is the paradox at its core. The very factors that drive a city's revitalization—the influx of high-value industries like tech and finance—simultaneously accelerate inequality. EPass We see global cities polarizing into a 'dual city': a highly compensated professional class on one side, and a massive, precarious service sector that keeps the city running but is priced out of living in it. The resurgence isn't accidental; the inequality seems structurally baked into the growth model itself.
